Day 311 | Having Momentum

Prompt: What does 'having momentum' mean to you?

Stephanie | Momentum is a force that keeps moving you forward, that snow ball effect that happens once you decide to do something. Momentum pushes you to keep going. Once you start you have to see it through to the end. Similar to motivation but more time sensitive. Motivation can come and go and be put on hold but momentum continues until its complete.

Annetta | Having momentum, to me, means practicing watercolors until it comes naturally to you. Photographing until you no longer have to think about it or watching something that's stood still for a long time start to slowly move until there is no stopping it. Momentum is a beautiful thing and like inspiration a very much desired element to ones work, dreams or life.

Day 310 | Most Excited

Prompt: What are you most excited about right now? Why?

Stephanie | I am most excited for: a package that is about to arrive with new boots and other clothing items I desperately need. My simplified planner, I am ready to start a new year fresh and organized eliminating distractions. A fantastic holiday season with my family, I normally hate the holidays but I am determined to make it a fun and special holiday for my family.

Annetta | I am most excited for my 6 year anniversary getaway with my husband. I look forward to three days with him every year. Its one of my favorite memories I get to make. Every year he plans out a trip for us. He tries to keep it as a surprise, but the beans are always spilled on the location with other leaks of information. This year we are spending it somewhere along the Oregon coast in a cabin in the woods with a trail to the ocean. We explore, sleep and eat all those days together and its glorious!

Day 309 | Biggest Decision

Prompt: What is the biggest decision you made today / this week / this month / or this year?

Stephanie | The biggest decisions I have been making lately is to put my marriage first. Making my husband feel loved and respected. I have made the decision to read books that focus on improving your self and your marriage. They are showing me how marriage works and what doesn't. I am not a reader, but I have made the choice to learn and improve things to help me have the marriage I want. I have also made the choice recently to replace some "bad" things with other positive things, either not being around certain people, watching certain shows, etc that don't provide any benefit to my life and focus on my family, books, and other positive things. The things that will matter when I am 80 are the things I am trying to focus my time on, my husband, our marriage, and our kids.

Annetta | One of my biggest decisions this past few months was to see correction as a form of love. I've been studying correction and how it relates to love. It's been life changing what I have discovered! Most people hate corrections, they will have none of it, but when we are corrected it is done to make us better. One of my favorite quotes and what I hold on to is, "for whom the Lord loves, He corrects." I've been corrected many times in my life and many of them have hurt, they have also made me a much better person. I have chosen to love correction and not despise it.

(My journal is getting too big to photograph so please excuse the not so cute journal pictures as it's busting at the seams. I've also used up my big journal to the very last page and now left with my smaller one.)

Day 308 | Ideal Neighborhood

Prompt: Describe your ideal neighborhood or share what you love about your current neighborhood.

Stephanie | My ideal neighborhood would not be a neighborhood at all. I am ready to live out in the country on many acres far away from other people. I want the property to be full of trees and secluded. I want a long driveway lined with cherry blossom trees and a white wooden fence. I want to be surrounded by nature not neighbors.

Annetta | My ideal neighborhood would be a few different ones. I used to live in my ideal neighborhood when I lived in Seattle. There were beautiful gardens in people's yards, the houses were gorgeous and it was by the water. I loved walking those streets! I would also love to have a neighborhood in the country and in a European city.

Day 307 | Mail Call October

Share what you received from October's Mail Day.

Stephanie | Annetta did such an amazing job stitching this beautiful heart, I love it so much. I love receiving handmade items that were crafted with such love and care. They make me feel so special. Annetta has a gift for creating beautiful things and making others feel loved.

Annetta | I am so pleased with my gorgeous gift from Stephanie! I knew she was doing something awesome, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how special the stitched art was. I'll need to find the perfect spot to hand it and I'm thinking it will go above my desk. I'm personally loving that we are doing mail calls that have nothing to do with our journals as they are so precious.

Day 306 | First Impressions

Prompt: What do you think people's first impressions of you are? What would you like it to be?

Annetta | I often times wonder what peoples first impressions are of me. I know that some people see me as young and bubbly. Some says that it's a refreshment to them and who knows what others think. All I can be is the best me.

Stephanie | People probably find me shy, quiet and reserved when they first meet me, and I would agree. I am not loud or outgoing with people I don't know. Being around people takes a lot of my energy and I don't like to give it away to just anyone. I like to watch and observe others, and if I feel I have something to add then I will. I really don't like small talk so I usually just keep to myself.

Day 305 | Fall Favorites

Prompt: What do you love about fall?

Annetta | Some of my favorite things about fall are visiting pumpkin patches, Apple cider, orchards, boots, pumpkin pie, changing leaves, fire places, hats and scarves.

Stephanie |  The red orange and yellow leaves, hot cider, sunny days with crisp air, pumpkin bread and pie, hot tea, fresh apples, homemade apple pie, picking fallen leaves, walking the pumpkin patch, tractor rides, foggy mornings.
